Help with a cornish marriage

Hi

can anyone help me, I can't find cornish marriages on
LDS site or freeBMD for this couple:

Sarah Anne WEBB
Jacob LEVY

should be Truro area or thereabouts

1842 - 1850 ish

   Mary

Ive had a look for a marriage and cant find anything, but i did find a death for Jacob Levy in Truro in 1850

I wonder if they were ever married. 

Did people just live together in those days ?

The children took on his surname though.

Ithink living together in those days was more common than some would imagine mainly due to not being able to afford to marry. Have you found his children in the cencuses?

I know what you mean. Think that applies to another section of my family who were labourers / brick makers etc.

But Jacob is shown on his daughters birth cert as a silversmith. surely he would have afforded a marriage ??

perhaps there is a guild of silversmiths somewhere listed. ??

i might try that, although it won't help me with marriage, it might establish the right area.

Sarah Anne was born in 1826, so she should have been caught by the 1837 boundary for her marriage.
Unless, as my mum suggested, some ledgers were lost during the war with the bombing.

Ihave found a marriage of Jacob Levy to Ezth Carnateon in 1813 St Mary Truro , its not what your looking for but it may be useful in the future
