Greetings to all
The Boys connection is thru Sarah Blechynden's daughter Emily.

Emily Grace BLECHYNDEN of Tenterden spinster to marry Daniel BOYS of Tenterden bachelor - licence to marry granted 20 Jan 1837

Boys Emily Grace (Mrs)  Lodging ho   53 Plains of Waterloo . From Kelly's Directory Kent 1882 (Ramsgate).G
I have sufficient records at present on The Blechynden family tree.
John and Sarah Blechynden had as far as I have been told 3 children.
Harrison, Matilda and Emily. If there are more would love to hear from you.

And in 1861 whilst Matilda BOYS is housekeeper to Sarah Matilda Blechynden is with Emily Boys as a visitor. Was this correct name for Sarah?
RG9/536/83/5

It is Sarah Harrison who has alot of unkown about her .

Emily Grace Blechynden m. Daniel Boys of Tenterden, Aldington
abt 1837 not sure where?
Children :
Alice
Helen
Matilda
Is this correct?

Edward married to Emily (is this Emily Boys 2nd marriage?)
Edward who?

Is there a death date for Matilda Blanche Blechynden?
Is there a marriage for her?

Cheers

Thank you for adding pieces to this puzzle. Taken me years to get this far an with everyone assisting with their expertise the picture of this family is coming together.

Now what about this info that was sent to me.

Emily Grace BLECHYNDEN of Tenterden spinster to marry Daniel BOYS of Tenterden bachelor - licence to marry granted 20 Jan 1837.
1851 Census states Edward Boys head of family with Emily Boys?

Seems Edward died before 1861 Census. Any death dates for him?

Are there records for parents and siblings for Sarah Blechynden nee Harrison?

Cheers

Sorry made a mistake ther will fix it. :-[ It is late here and I have just done a 12hr shift at work.

Nothing I can find on Sarah Harrison/Blechynden unfortunately.

The 1861 Census I meant that Matilda Boys is with Sarah aged 85.

I have no idea how Daniel Boys fits in unless she was widowed and married 2 borthers :D Or he was Daniel Edward Boys and preferred Edward.

So was Harrison transported or a emigrant to Australia?

Dear Trish

All the above about Daniel Boys at present till researched otherwise.

Harrison Blechynden from which named from Sarah's maiden name and two of twelve of his children were named Sarah Harrison Blechynden and Thomas Harrison Blechynen.
This man emigrated from Kent, England, to Australia in 1830. He was called Harrison Blechynden, the only son of John and Sarah Blechynden.
http://www.blechynden.co.uk/aus88.html

Harrison arrived per" Minstrel" 0n 30 Jan 1830, as a carpenter with his cousin, George Blechynden.  Some sources state: 20 Feb 1830.

Charlotte Robus, a fellow passenger, whom he later married.

Blechynden name records from 1272. Quarington Manor & Blechyden Manor Headcorn Kent.
Married Charlotte Augusta Robus. then with cousin George Blechynden settled in the Swan River Colony, East Beverley,  Blackwood River, now Bridgetown 'Bridgedale' historic house built 1862.

BLECHYNDEN, Harrison
b. 26 April 1802   d. 17 July 1873
Origin: Bonnington, Kent, England
Arrived Fremantle on: 20 January 1830
Aboard: Minstral

Occupation in Australia: Farmer & Business

Minstrel:359 tonne coppersheathed wooden sailing barque, launched at Hull in 1890. Owned by Brown & Co. Captain C. Arkcoll. The "Minstrel sailed from St.Catherine's Dock on the 7 September 1829. The ship picked up the Brockman's from Kent at Portsmouth and their large cargo and 7 servants including Harrison and George Blechynden and Mrs Brockman's servant Charlotte Harrison Robus. The ship carried 14 children and 33 adult passengers. On the 1 Oct 1829 the "Minstrel" set sail for the Swan River colony. The voyage took nearly 5 months and they finally arrived at Fremantle port on the 20 Feb 1830.

John BLECHYNDEN

Parents, GEORGE/ELIZABETH

Siblings;
MARY, 18 July 1729
CATHERINE, 18 February 1731
EDWARD, 28 December 1736
JANE, 30 August 1839

M : George BLECHYNDEN
Birth: 1695 Kent, England.
Death: 1743 Kent, England.
Spouse: Elizabeth HORN:

Wife: Elizabeth Blechynden nee HORN: (1695-1766)

Birth: 1695 Kent, ENG
Death: 1766 Kent.ENG

The Blechynden family tended to used and repeat the male christian names down the family lines.
So the above John Blechynden isnt the one that married Sarah Harrison. He is his great uncle John.
No research that I know of has been carried out on Sarah's line as the Blechynden line has extensive research. I may be wrong and if so would like contact with those to assist with Sarah's family line.
Great to have the assistance when Anc is back on line.

Cheers
