Birth and Death of Cecilia BOLGER b1902 d1927

Hi Everyone, This is my first attempt at this so if get it wrong sorry in advance.

In my Grt Aunts Bible i have found a rememberance card, It is of:

Cecilia Bolger [Kilmore Victoria] Died 23/7/1927 age 25

The Gt Aunt who had the card lived in Ireland and i have tried to find any reference to this Cecilia but nothing returns? I have not found her born in Ireland allowing 5 years either way and the same for the https://online.justice.vic.gov.au/bdm/index website.

Also can not find her on any shipping records so i guess she was born in Oz?

Any help on tracing this elusive rellie would be greatly appriciated, Thank You

According to the death index, Cecilia's parents were William Howell & Annie Doyle so I did an LDS Pilot Record search for the birth of a Cecilia HOWELL in Ireland circa 1902.
Found only 1 matching record:
Cecilia Howell born in the Dec qtr of 1902 in the Gorey rego district of Wexford county, Ireland.
Also did a cross reference check of any marriages to the surname BOLGER.
Once again only one matching record:
It appears she may have married a Michael BOLGER in the Sept qtr of 1926, same rego district details as her birth.
If these details are correct, it appears she must have emmigrated around 1926-27, which means the poor soul died soon after her arrival in Oz.
Some possibilities for you to work on.....her death cert. may state her husband's name as a way of confirming the above details. (Not sure what info is contained in Vic death certs).
Hope this helps a little.

P.S. William Howell & Annie Doyle married in the Sept qtr of 1887 in the same rego district as above. There are numerous HOWELL children born in this district circa 1887-1920's

Wow, that was quick and definative! I was in Gorey just last week... and that is where my great aunt is from!!!!

Strangley Her Husband and me share the same name... I can only thank you a million times im going to order the certs for the marriage and birth now... thanks again <huge big grin smilley>

I'm so pleased the info I supplied fitted in and yes you can order her death cert online. By the way, did a quick check on what's in Vic death certs & her spouse's name is listed as well as a heap of other info such as parents names, where born & how long in Oz.
Just go to the Victorian government's site you mentioned in your original post. On the home page click on Historical Research and there is a facility to order an uncertfied copy of the image which can be downloaded to your computer. I think it costs $A26.60.
You'll need the following information:
Name: Cecilia Bolger
Place of Death: Kilmore
Rego #: 10670
Year of Death: 1927
Don't bother filling in her parents or Spouse's names...for some reason when I added this extra info, I didn't get a hit. Just use the info above & you shouldn't have any problems, but let me know if you do.

As mentioned you  can purchase an image of the death registration online and immediately download to your computer for AUD$17.50 - same information.  It is not sent by email.

A Big thank you to all who have helped me with the above information.

I have hopefully copied the edited death record below to show you all your good work.. again a million thanks.

If i can ask Annie... how did you search the Oz records? The LDS site i am familiar with but the Oz one did not work for me [of course i am thick!]

I am now going to try and find the husband Michael Bolger and his little son Patrick Joseph [only 4 weeks old] to see if they remain in Oz or return to Ireland? I just hope they survive....

For those who know how this board works can you finish it as completed or tell me how to... Thanks
