Old Photographs

I am looking for old photographs of Great Caster ton,  Toll-Bar,   Tickencote,   Pickworth,   and Little Casterton,  all in the county of Rutland.

It’s so easy today with computers and scanners to make copies of photographs. Every copy made of these wonderful old photos reduces the chances of that little bit of visually recorded history being lost forever.

I was born in Great Casterton some 60 + years ago so this makes Great Casterton and Toll-Bar my main interest as these were my childhood play grounds.

 I already have a hand full of old photos borrowed and scanned into my computer, mainly from other members of the family but  now as retirement is about to knock on my door I think it’s time for my aging brain to try and master this Internet thingy, hopefully to cast my net wider.
