I was wondering if anyone had any information on anyone from the Proctor family.

My great grandfather was John William Robert Proctor, he married Jessie Prior.
His father was called George Proctor (i think), and that is as far as i have managed to get to.

By ordering the marriage certificate this will give you their fathers names, and so get another generation back, and also to help find them on the census.

If John's father is George, this seems a likely candidate

The only Jessie E PRIOR birth in the area is in 1896 in Greenwich, Jessie Elizabeth. But only the marriage cert will confirm if she is the right one.

Thank you for all your replies, this will help me a little more.

From what i have, if it is correct.... he had a sister called Florence and a brother called Thomas.

John and Jessie had 3 children (could be more, but this is all i found), called Gordon, Jean and Edna Louisa Proctor.

I have ordered their marriage certificate, so will see what comes back on this. It's just a waiting game.
