Jane LEGASSICK

  Hi all,
           I have a Jane Legassick who married Richard Williams in 1848, at Tavistock.

          On the 1851 census she has that she was born West Alvington Devon, about 1828.

            I cannot find her in the 1841 census, nor is she on the I.G.I site.

   The only Jane on the census was born in 1834/5, so is  too young.

       Can anyone give some advice on where I could look to see if perhaps she was born abroad?

              I can imagine this would be quite a task,
                                             but this site has a great name for coming up with impossibilities, so hope someone can help in any way, Thanks Dolly

There's a Jane Lagassick b.1824 on the 1841...

Have you the marriage cert to confirm her father??...

The 1851 census gives Jane's age as 26 - so born 1824/25.

   I have now got a Jane Lagassick on the 1841census, whom I will suss out ,
