That's OK...we were really trying to eliminate the  ones on the indexes.  I would suggest you request a copy of the 1993 death notice from the Ryerson Index.  Seems to be the only lead at this stage ;D

Cheers

Re the NSW Electoral Roll details given by Cando:

Australian Electoral Rolls
1954
NSW
SCOTT Gwendoline Mabel  343 Ernest Street, North Sydney  Home duties
SCOTT Roland  343 Ernest Street, North Sydney  Shopkeeper

There was a marriage in the June Qtr 1930, district Leeds South, between a Roland SCOTT, and Gwendoline M. ATKINSON http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl

There are lots of births registered after 1930 for the surname SCOTT with mother's surname as ATKINSON, but only one also registered at Leeds South - Sep Qtr 1931, Brian SCOTT.

The Roland SCOTT died Victoria, 1984 has the following mentions in the death notices of The Sun (Melbourne paper)

May 14, 1984

SCOTT, Roland, May 20, 1993, late of Wyoming and Oatlands, husband of Gwen, father and f-i-law of Brian and Denny, grandfather of David, Brad, Nick, and Anne, loved pop of their families.  Private cremation.

Unfortunately the notices for both of these don't give an age so not much help for you!

Hi,
It seems, by the obituary for the man in NSW Judith has so kindly provided, that there was only one child to the couple GWEN and ROLAND.

A search of the NSW BDM index will show some information on the 2 people to whom he was father and father -in law.

It seems that the girl grandchild of this ROLAND was named ANNE and I do note this was the name of ROLAND's mother provided by Miss Katy.
