I am researching the family of Alexander Allan, son of Robert Allan, and Johana McGregor, born 1848 and emigrated to New Zealand in 1880/81

Hello
I am hoping someone who posted the earlier queries will contact me.
I would like to find out about this family as I think once of the children of Alexander Allan may have married Frank MABEY in my family tree.
Thanks

Janet, according to my information, Alexander Allan had two daughters.  Unfortunately for you neither seems to have had a husband by the name of Frank Mabey.

Oh dear, it is as I suspected, I need to find another Alexander Allan.  The one I am interested in is Alexander Allan married Elizabeth HOPPS in Lanark, Glasgow on 12 Jul 1872.
They had three children that I know of born Bothwell Scotland.
Jeannie (1873), Alexander (1874), and Helen (Nellie) (1880) before emigrating to New Zealand.  There may be more children born in New Zealand.

Jeannie (Jinnie) married Francis Thomas (Frank) MABEY in 1897.

I'm afraid, Janet, that your Alexander Allan, and the names you mention do not feature in my branch of the Allan family.
Good luck!
