Hello James!
Yes, I was walking a little-known path of St. James, the Ruta de la Lana, from Valencia to Burgos.
Now back home and rested, I am curious to hear how you think your Thomas Brady and my Bernard Brady are related.
Can you tell me a bit about yourself and your research? Have you just started, or are you a "veteran"?
Unless you have documentary evidence to back up the link, the problem I see is that Brady was a very common family name in Cavan. Two men called Brady in the RIC from Cavan are not necessarily related...
I am being pessimistic in saying that, but I do hope that you can surprise me and produce some hard evidence to prove your point!
As regards myself, I did do a lot of research on the Internet and in the National Library in Dublin a few years ago but then stopped. Much new material in now available and perhaps you have found BMD or other information to back up your claim. I do hope so!
If Thomas and Bernard are indeed related, you will be glad to hear that I have some photos and information about Bernard's children which may be of interest to you. Most of them emigrated to the USA. A few remained in Ireland. I have not been able to trace any of their descendants.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
