This is a marriage & baptisms on the name of Overill, a new name to Rootschat, my interest being the Pasterfield half of the marriage.

The start of an OVERILL collection, if you find any and have a few minutes to note them here is a place to record them.........


1798
Joseph Overill married Ann Pasterfield on the 13th October 1798 at the St Mary the Virgin Church at Great Warley, Essex. The banns having been read on the 23rd and 30th of September and the 7th of October of 1798.

Overill Baptism's, children of above
1799...Joseph, August 15th 1799
1803...William, April 3rd 1803
1806...Mary Anne, August 17th 1806
1808...Henry, November 6th 1808
1810...Samuel, October 1st 1810
1811...(twins) Thomas & Elizabeth November 15th 1811. Thomas died and was buried December 8th 1811, Elizabeth died and was buried November 21st 1811.

All these events took place at the St Mary the Virgin Church, Great Warley, Essex
Researching names BRYANT (Camberwell), PASTERFIELD (Essex and all), RAY (Holborn/Islington areas back to Brentford), POWELL (Glouc & beyond?)
Fletcher (Glouc into Warwickshie into Lancs?), BUCKLEY (Chatham area), Watson (Chatham area).

There is a one name study of the OVERILL Family.  You may be able to find more details on the Guild of One Name Studies website at www.one-name.org

On the home page click "Registered Names" and you will find the details of the person who has registered the study.
