Grenville and Salisbury Jones, Llanrwst

I am researching this family because, according to my mother they were the 'cousins' of my great grandfather Evan Jones, son of David a tanner, also born Llanrwst. I have done quite well with the census, bmds and burials but can find no link between the two families. Is William Jones b 1799 in Llanrwst/Llanwda, husband of Elizabeth and grandfather to William Rowland Jones 1873, James Owen Jones 1875, Grenville 1877, Salisbury 1879, Eyton,1886 and Phyllis 1889 the brother of David the tanner? Does anyone have a clue?
