Hello there
My Grandmother, Marion McRury ( father John McRury, mother Jessie McRury, maiden name McDonald) was brought up in the grounds of the farm owned now by Ian Buchanan - 17 Torlum.
She came to Glasgow when she was about 28 ( I think). I visited Ian and his wife 3 years ago, taking my mother Christina McCormack ( married name MacDonald), who had not visited the Island for about 50 years. She remembered the address, as she had stayed there with her mother Marion when she visited. It was a joyous reunion for them both, as he was only a young man the last time that they met.
