Hi Ganges boy,
have you seen this entry in the 1881 census ? :-\

Josiah Sims   35 Stalbridge Dorset    Farmer 400 acres
                                                          7 men and 1 boy

Emma Sims   W  29                    Rockbourn Salisbury

Evelyn Annie Sims  Dau              Rockbourn Salisbury

Ada Roberts    s-in-law               Rockbourn Salisbury

Edwin john Roberts   b-in-law    Rockbourn Salisbury

The age and birthplace is often incorrect on the census.
Regards Aaron ;D

I am sure the 1881 also gives you the Folio Number, Page, Address etc, in order to complete the census lookup details - does it not?

Hi again ganges boy,

Glad you found your family. My apologies for neglecting to give you the below information. ( see Global Moderators note on my message )

I thought if it was your family you would have no difficulty looking  up the 1881 census on the LDS site using just the name and place.

I should have included this -

         Dwelling             Rushmore Farm
Census Place     Tollard Royal, Wiltshire, England
         PRO Ref:            RG11
         Piece/ folio         2076/109
         Page No             8

As you mentioned Wiltshire I think you have already found the entry. Sorry if I made things difficult for you - I am new to this and was eager to help.
Regards Aaron :)
