Have found false information on a Birth Cert 1871 in respect of illegitimate child

Is anyone still looking into this. I am an Oliver but our ancestors were Oliver\Gulliver\Gollifer\Golifer\Golipher\Golpher and Gallagher in Cumbria I guess due to accents and illiteracy. Our earliest born in 1801 was from Ireland. Various strands of the family are all over the world as Olivers and Gullivers.

Strange and fascinating to realise we are probably under the wrong name!
