Forgot to answer Trish.
I haven't got my Great grandfathers death certificate. My grandfathers parents Harry KEETLEY and Sarah BLUNDELL were never married.
Harry KEETLEY was K.I.A in France in WW1 and there was no death certificate issued as far as I know,can't find one in NZ or Australia, and have been advised by NZ there wouldn't have been one issued.
That s why I applied for his brother Frank's which gave me Mary Ann's maiden name and Henry's occupation.

Does the immigration record say whereabouts in the UK the Keetley's were from? Those ages at immigration seem a bit more reasonable don't they Trish?  Looks like your original estimate on birth years is about 10 years out Alison ...

Perhaps the reason he said he was an ag lab on the immigration record is because that is what was required in the colonies and he was brought out as an ag lab.

So marriage of Henryand Mary Ann is between 1851 and 1858/9 if they did marry at all. Maybe they married on the ship.

What do you think? How sure are you of the Hoskins surname? Info on d/c's can be wrong. I've found several incorrect mother's surnames on death records. Not saying that Hoskins is wrong mind you, but it's just something to keep in mind. 

Otherwise, the above marriage is a bit of a coincidence wouldn't you say?

So maybe the 1841 Sandiacre John Henry is the wrong chap?  Because I found the 1851 Keetley family in Hathern:

I think the William Keetley/Sarah Hallam marriage might be wrong.

I just saw this submitted record on the IGI for a marriage licence:
William Keetley of Hathern
spouse Sarah Harrison
licence 21 May 1816

I would normally question this submitted record, however considering that there is an Elizabeth Harrison aged 85 living with the Keetley family in 1841 I suspect this may be a huge clue and I'd make an educated guess that this is Sarah's mother.

Mary Anne MARSHALL { daughter of ? MARSHALL and Ann GOODACRE} in 1858 in Hathern Leicestershire

Henry and Mary emigrated to New Zealand in 1859 aboard the "Clontarf"
{ His brother Joseph and family emigrated in 1859 aboard the "Mystery"}

Henry and Mary had 7 children in New Zealand. 6 of whom I am sure about 1 daughter I am still chasing.
Henry died 1879 in Kaiapoi NZ
Mary d 1901 in Kaiapoi NZ.
