Mary Kean was my 3x great Gran who married David Boyle 20/8/1853 in Greenock Scotland she had a daughter in 1851 to a Mathew Caldwell although I cannot find any marriage, she named her daughter Mary Eliza. Mary died 10/10/98 aged 66 years living in Dunn Street Glasgow widow of David who was a carter. Ann Kean died in Greenock at 51 Main Street 15/8/1855. Ann had the following children Margaret aged 27yrs. Sarah who died aged 11, Mary 23, Robert 20 Charles 18 and Thomas 15 when she died. Robert married a Catherine Fields and he died 27/7/1888 aged 56 his death was registered by his brother Thomas who was living at 3 Prospecthill Road Greenock.

On the 1861 Census Mary Kean and her husband David Boyle are visiting Mary's brother Robert Kean who is living at 64 Smiths Lane Greenock with them are their children Mary aged 9 a scholar, Sarah 4 and William aged 1. Sarah, born Greenock, William and Mary born Beith Ayrshire . David's  occupation is a carter. Robert Kean is a Police Constable.
