It's here!

The Framlingham Photographic Archive web site is now live with the first batch of photographs.
If you are interested in the town, take an hour or two to have a look :-)

The Framlingham Historical Archive Group are pleased to announce that the
Fram On Film photo archive is now available to view on
http://framlinghamarchive.org.uk  You will probably need to enter the full
address until it is picked up by Google etc.

There are presently over 250 photographs in the nine different Categories.
Simply choose your Category of interest and then click on the thumb nail to
bring up the photo and caption. Then click the arrows at the end of the
caption to go to the next one.  Alternatively you can click on Pic Lens,
when you will be presented with a slide show.

The idea is that the site should be interactive. The captions are our
initial attempt at providing some background information, but we are hoping
you will be able to amplify them with more names and precise dates for
example.  Select the Contact Us box and provide your feedback, not
forgetting to give the photo reference which appears at the start of the
caption.

Further photos will continue to be added, as such a process is always
ongoing.  We do need you to delve into that box of old photos you have, and
let us borrow any that would be suitable for scanning, with an
approximate cut off point of 1970.  If you can help, please contact us via
the website.
Now sit back and see what Fram looked like up to 140 years ago.
