YEP  ;D

Indexes show both his marriages & his son's birth & marriage which match the two Edwin's (father & son) in the grave along with Edwin Snr's first wife Harriett = 3 burials that are noted on the MI.

This is probably Emma ROSS's death as remarriage surname & parents names match  :D

Daughter of John & Sarah ROSS
First wife of Edwin FAULL (widow)
Second wife of Charles B E LEE

LEE  EMMA EGAN- Parents: JOHN  SARAH  d. 1948 MARRICKVILLE #26829
LEE  EMMA EGAN  Parents: JOHN  SARAH  d. 1948 MARRICKVILLE #26829
EGAN-LEE  EMMA  Parents: JOHN  SARAH  d. 1948 MARRICKVILLE #26829

Looks like it took them 3 entries in the index to try & get it right  ::)

Hi,

Here is another death in NSW with father named CHARLES B E LEE

It seems the EGAN is part of CHARLES 's surname and again it has caused confusion on the listing

1930  EGAN-LEE  KATHLEEN B father CHARLES B mother LILA E  NORTH SYDNEY reg. 2532

1930  LEE  KATHLEEN B. E.father  CHARLES B E mother LILY E  NORTH SYDNEY reg. 12532

1930  LEE  KATHLEEN B EGAN- father CHARLES B mother LILA E  NORTH SYDNEY reg 12532

This death shows a man of the correct intials as EMMA's husband, bu tthe year is "advanced" if he was around her own age!

In 1971  EGAN-LEE  CHARLES BANTING father RICHARD mother ELENA AGNES at ST LEONARDS ref.   40505

ADDING there are a number of EGAN- LEE registrations

Hi
The Argus on 2nd Aug. 1869 has a marriage notice for the parents of CHARLES BANTING EGAN-LEE

It says that R. (ichard?) EGAN-LEE of South Yarra married ELENA AGNES BANTING who was the second daughter of James Charles BANTING of Pall Mall, London.

MMmm.
It is noteworthy that her husband is not mentioned in EMMA's death notice dated 4/11/1946.

Here is a marriage in NSW.

In 1946    EGAN-LEE    CHARLES BANTING to ROBINSON, LILA ELIZABETH at WAVERLEY reg. 29086

Here is a death notice in the SMH dated 2/2/1948 which says that

EGAN-LEE, LILA ELIZABETH, dearly loved wife of CHARLES has died at her residence in Rose Bay.  Mother of Kathleen (dec) Selwyn D. and Lenore. burid Northern Suburbs Catholic Cemetery.

Here is SELWYN's Birth

IN 1908 EGAN-LEE SELWYN D father CHARLES mother   LILA at TUMBARUMBA reg. 19379

So, it looks as if CHARLES had 2 families going and was able to marry LILA when EMMA died.

Sue

ADDING
LILA and KATHLEEN EGAN-LEE are buried side by side at Macquarie Park Cemetery

Egan-Lee   Kathleen B.   Burial loc.  CATHOLIC/E2/0031. On11/08/1930
Egan-Lee   Lila Elizabeth   Burial  loc.  CATHOLIC/E2/0030. On   19/02/1948

Hi Don,
There is probably more to be found to help in your search, but perhaps, for now you might want to consider what has been turned up and perhaps let us know where to  from here ;)
