George BOSTON marriage Eye, Suffolk
« on: Wednesday 28 April 10 20:14 BST (UK) »
Am looking for the marriage record of George Boston to a Charlotte in Eye, Suffolk, England best guess between 1830-1833. Their alledged first child Eliza was born ca 1833 at Eye. Any help would be most appreciated. This has been my brick wall for the better part of 15 years and new information has led me to this point.
Forever grateful.
Cindy

This marriage doesn't appear on the Suffolk Marriage Index 1813-1837. Either they married out of the county or didn't marry at all.  :'( :'(

Hi Jim,
I was just going through some old emails and saw this one from you which I missed!
I'm always interested in anything my people might have been up to, including 2nd marriages. Charlotte has quite an interesting time line as far as George Tuff(t)s' children, and his death and then future children. There is one child born over a year passed Tuff(t)'s death and he was registered as Tuff(t)s, and then she marries George Boston and has children with him. All the Tuff(t)s children take Boston for a name, including my ancestor. What a mess.

What have ya got?

Bit confused by your post, but on Family Search there is a baptism of a Charlotte Tufts in 1814 in Eye to a John and Sarah

Cindy,
I have a family tree prepared for my wife's cousin on her 70th birthday but she died suddenly before any correspondence could be established . I have no idea who prepared it but I believe that it is accurate especially 1880 onwards. At top it has Charlotte Lines or Freston marrying George Tuffts 21.08.1831 Eye Suffolk George buried 18.06.1837 Eye Suffolk then Charlotte married George Boston ( Bostock) Eye Suffolk 25/07/1841 Bricklayer also same Census 1851-1881. If you wish me to forward a copy please contact me at jimguncotton@hotmail.com and I will oblige . Cheers Jim
