Thank you for replying so quickly and your kind offer. Unfortunately I am not on Ancestry but would you recommend me joining or is there another way I can access the family tree. This morning I visited the Archive Department at Dudley (I live in Devon) to check that grandfather James came from the Bradley area of Bilston and they confirmed that he did. I also found out that my great grandparents, James's father and mother, Thomas and Elizabeth, were married 29 March 1869 at Christ Church Coseley.
I look forward to hearing from you and am intrigued who my relative is ie your friend's father. Is his name Dennis?
