I'm trying to find the parents and family of Alfred Blacker born about 1857 in Horbury.

Found your people on the 1871 Census, but sadly cannot help you with the 1861 Census.

In 1871 the family were at LIDGET GATE, HORBURY (no property number recorded).

I am researching this Blacker family, and saw some of your posts. I think we are interested in the same family.

I have:

Albert Edward Blacker, b. abt. 1889 in Leicester (married Mabel Curzon in Leicester.)

Parents: Albert Blacker, b. abt. 1865 (I think you maybe were researching his brother Alfred?)
Birthplace: Wakefield, Yorkshire, England
and Ellen Mary Bradbury(?) b. London, England

Parents of Albert Blacker, b. abt. 1865 are:
Samuel Blacker, b. about 1825, Dewsbury Yorkshire, England
Alice Dransfield b. about 1825, Dewsbury, Yorkshire, England

(If you go back to the first couple, Albert Edward Blacker and Mabel Curzon from Leicester, one of their daughters emigrated to America after World War 2.  I am trying to find genealogy information for her ancestors.)
