Intrigued by Mary Bax story and trying to find her actual grave. The headstone on the ancient highway is only a memorial. Can anyone help. I have a feeling that it may be in Worth, but not sure if a list of graves is available. I would like to trace her family line.

Yes, it is a memorial stone that I cycle past everyday.
I was hoping that someone in the area of Worth may know where she is buried.

A Google Books result will come up "The Lifeboat".

John Winter who tracked the killer down was in love with Mary
His Brother was the one who witnessed it.
" On the exact spot where the murder took place Marys Grave was dug, and a tombstone was put up, which may be seen to there at the present time with the following transcription on it......"
There is a little info on her being a cousin of John Dax who features in the article.

" John Winter left the country and did not return for 30yrs. His Brother David drowned at sea"
