Florence was born in 1904, I have the birth certificate, the bit that is of intrest is that she was living in Birmingham and that she went out on her own.
I dint be live that she is alive if she is that will make her 106 years old.
She was born Florence Emily Norman, Cando yes this is the same person.

Was Florence's marriage to a LANE her first or second marriage.  I can find no marriage for a Florence NORMAN to a LANE other than one in 1901 and she was born 1904 .

There is a Florence Emily LANE on the Australian Electoral Roll in Queensland in 1954 but she is at the same address as a Roy Alfred Arthur LANE, Carpenter.

Thanks for the info, I am learning more every time, maybe the info about Perth was not right and i was being lead down the wrong path.
If she was married before i do not know, have found out that all siblings have died the last was about 1986, no one now to get any information from now
This site has been so helpful in the few days that i have been using it since i found it.

Roy Alfred Arthur Lane has a digitalized WW2 record on the NAA

now he was born in Brisbane parents were Joseph Charles Lane and his mother was Emma Maggie Lane nee Dodson

now living at the same address in Paddington 1949
were the three of them plus an Florence Emily Lane.

She may have been a sibling to Roy? or a sister/sister in law to Joseph or even a wife for Roy.  The online Qld. bdms only go to 1934 for marriages.

This is three years before your F.E. Lane came to Australia.


To my way of thiking this rules out her being you Florence Emily, what does every one else think of this?
