Thank you for that Shane.
I like to see unchanged streets. Call me old fashioned!

I'm trying to track down '4 St. Marys Terrace' as named on a birth certificate but the place in Rathmines seems to only have up to number 3 on the 1911 census ( http://137.191.247.9/pages/1911/Dublin/Rathmines___Rathgar_East/St__Mary_s_Terrace/ ). Might number 4 be the school itself?

The reason that I think I have the correct St. Mary's is because the Informant is listed as 'Eliza Clinton' of '31 Rathmines'.

I am researching this for the birth of 'Francis O'Neill' in 1910. His father (also called Francis) was supposed to be at the same address (4 St. Marys Terrace).

Hope someone can help, I'm pretty confused.

Thanks in advance

Ryan

It does seem to have disappeared in the ebb and flow of the school nearby. I think about 1915 was the last it was seen.

It may also be a transcription error on the copy of the certificate I have, I had hoped they would send a photocopy but they sent a brand new typed copy. Which although useful, leaves questions such as this.

I read a post that someone was asking about the Freeman family who were living at 250 Township Cottages, my grandfather was John Freeman and my great grandmother was Annie Freeman nee Casey.
I don’t know if there was any connection to the Costello family or they were simply boarders in that house.
