William Douglas Popple - of New York

dear all

this is pretty vague but that said,,,, I am looking for a William Douglas Popple Ist,  born Germany (possibly Prussia ?) whom marries an Isabelle Andrews, New York, 1930/40 ? , William Douglas Popple II is born,,,
William I separates from Isabelle and returns to Germany and remarries and has another 2 sons, one of whom is also called ,,, yep you guessed it William Douglas Popple. ( he passes on +/- 1990)
Another 2 William Douglas Popple's are born in the New York area III ( my Pal ) and IV ( his son )
Maybe some kind soul may be able to access New York Census details, Possibly Immigration/passenger lists 

Very little to go on, and will continue asking relatives for more clues, such as where in Germany etc
any help or advice would be gratefully received

hiya all
well what a turn up for the books, it seems that Isabelle, was Isabella  LaRose, I put this name to my Pal and he asked his Dad and bingo ! Now that his Pa is getting involved I am hoping for some new information,,,
