Hi William westall was my granfather born in 1842. As you might realise, i'm am not a youngster myself. I even have a photo of him probably taken at his wedding in about 1870. from A Westall

Welcome aboard Rootschat!

I'm still trying to make a link to my WESTALL ancestry prior to the William who married Sarah LEWIS in 1820 at Newbury St Nicolas.  On the way I've accumulated loads of others but I haven't given up yet.

I'm hoping for a breakthrough this year, having found the marriage of William & Sophia and a smattering of baptisms attributed to them in various parishes, including Newbury St Nicolas and Tilehurst.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed as I'm no 'spring chicken' myself!
