Griffo,

On the 1881 census image her place of birth does read as "Maysmarymarsh" Shropshire.

On 1871 it says "Oswestry" Shropshire.  So, I have been looking at a map of Oswestry and surrounding areas and have found Sarah's place of birth:

MAESBURY MARSH, OSWESTRY, SHROPSHIRE.

Hi
It might be an idea to order the marriage certificate and also to post a request for a 1861 lookup.
Lloydy has found place of birth so you never know!!

Nicky looked up Sarah in the 1871 census and the only possiblity was a Sarah Ann Hughes as a Servant in Staffordshire.
