my gt gt... grandparents elizabeth ann (nee brewitt) & charles neale were living at 48 king st kimberworth in 1881 & 1891, on the 1901 cencus they were at 48 king st masbrough, am i correct in thinking this is the same address, also where would they most likely have been buried. elizabeth i believe died 17 dec 1924 & charles 24 jan 1922.

Kimberworth and Masbro sort of roll into each other so it's probably the same address.  They are buried at Masbrough Cemetery

Charles - 27 Jan 1922 - 74 years - 48 King St - son of Charles and Mary

Elizabeth Ann - 20 Dec 1924 - 75 years - 48 King Street

Not very relevant to your research, but, as a child, I spent much time with my grandmother Andrews at 36 King Street, Masborough.  At that time [1950s], there was a Mrs Neale living next door (I suppose that would have been Number 38).  Any relation?

Just for the record, many of my Andrews family were buried at Kimberworth Cemetery

Hi
if you look in the Rotherham Family History Society website, they can supply lists of graves in Masborough and Kimberworth. These could help you to pinpoint a particular grave. Alternatively you can contact the cemeteries department  at Herringthorpe Crematorium in Rotherham who may provide you with location details. If you can find this info, we will gladly search for headstones for you.

Hi little h
I'm always snooping round the graveyards of Rotherham as most of my family are from there. Masbro' cemetery is HUGE Kimberworth is tiny (and very over-grown last time I visited)  and though I've been round most of the graveyards looking for my own ancestors, I didn't find many of them, though I know they're buried there. What do you need to know, I'm happy to do look-ups next time I go to the records office. Rotherham Family History society have a wealth of information on CD (very reasonably priced)
