« on: Thursday 23 September 10 14:59 BST (UK) »
Hi all

I am trying to find detailed information about KINGSWOOD BOYS REFORMATORY SCHOOL, BRISTOL, specifically between the periods 1960-1968, photographs, memories, stories, anything would be useful.

Not sure if this is the correct board, but hope it is!

Thanks

Hi and welcome to Rootschat.

When googling the school I found that Bristol Record Office holds  log books, registers, minutes , reports, medical records etc from 1890-1965.

My brother, John O'Neill, taught there around 1962 and I remember Windsie Richards the chaplain.

Hi I found this thread re Kingswood and believe my uncle John Neville was there from 1960 onward. He’s now in his 70's and I have been trying to trace him for my dad ( his older brother)and fill in the gaps on the family history. If anyone remembers him and can advise how he came to be there that would be greatly appreciated
