William Williams and Zillah married 8 July 1869- not 79 as quoted.
Zillah was my 1st cousin 4 times removed.
I have a very good Woodford Tree.
There are 2 births registered for Mary Ann Woodford both in Bourne , one Mary Ann W June 68 and the other Mary Ann march 69, I have not sent for the certs so am not sure which is the correct one. I like to think it is the first and the W is for Williams.
There was a Priscilla Woodford who was Zillahs aunt, she was transported to New South Wales in 1833 on the Ship "Fanny". Her crime? Setting fire to a haystack belonging to her boss. She was sentenced to hang , but was "let off" with transportation. She married James Benjamin Winstanley on 29th July 1833 in Bathurst NSW. They had 8 children.
