Trying to locate obituary notices from 1913 until 1953 what papers are they likely to be in if they died in Edinburgh and are they on line?

They might be in the Scotsman - which is available on line as a subscription site.  It is more like that they would be in one of both of the Edinburgh evening papers - the Evening Dispatch and the Evening News.  There were also Leith based newspapers at this time - the Leith Observer and the Leith Burghs Pilot.  so far as I know none of these are on-line but they can be seen on microfilm in the Edinburgh Central Library.  Alternatively they will be available in the National Library of Scotland or, in London, the British Library.
