1901 census Mary Miller age 30 (Widow)  living at 11 Cappaduff East, Cappaduff  Mayo  with her mum and dad
Michael (64) and Winefred (62) Bourke
so I guess that why they call there daughter that was born in 1903 Winefred.

If this is the right person?

It would be better for you if you could get hold of John Brady police records.  Have you been in touch with the police in ireland for any advice.

Rathmore,
I am living in Ireland so I can contact them no problem, I have a cousin who I think has his Police Records and I will be chatting to him later tonight or tomorrow so I can find out then.  You have been very good getting this info together for me, thank you.
Talk soon,
Fran

not sure where in Ireland you are located, but the RIC records are available on microfilm in Dublin City Library (Pearse St).

see : Irish Constabulary Records 1816 - 1922

apparently since the last set up upgrades you can drive from Cork to Dublin in about 2 1/2 hours now ... at legal speeds.   Although there are tolls involved

That's correct, tolls are not good though, too dear. I am now looking for info on alice Brady who I believe went to the us, along with her brothers, should I request this on the us board?

..

probably better to post a query about this on the US section.

as for searching for the immigration record - if the date is 1892 or later you could try the Ellis Island website.. see : http://www.ellisisland.org

You should be able to view both pages of passenger manifest on Ellis Island site so you can see for yourself all the details.
