John Heap b.1832/33 Pickup Bank, Darwen, Lancs.

Hi

My g.g.g. John Heap, was born in 1832/33 at Pickup Bank, Darwen, Nr  Blackburn , Lancs.    His wife, Ellen Astin, was born  in Dec 1832 in New Accrington and they married at St James Church Accrington in Sep 1853.

John and Ellen are shown in the1861 Census living at Higher Baxenden, Accrington. (1861 RG9 3064/75a) with three children - and three more to follow!

I have managed to find Ellen's parents (Source FHL Film  Dates 1830 - 1860)  but no success with John Heap.

John was born before civil registration was introduced in 1837 and his birth would not be registered?   The LDS
site lists John Heap many times but no record with a link
to Pickup Bank, Darwen.

How can I find John's parents and siblings (if any).  Can
anyone help me, please?   Hope I have not overloaded all the background information.

   It looks as if you could do with a 1841/51 census lookup of the Accrington area, if you get no response to this message,
then please post again with a specific census request.

Yes you need a lookup,  please post a request on the Lookup Board for our Looker-uppers to find it.
