S L Cassar - Studio photographer, Valetta, Malta

S L Cassar (1855 to 1928) was a Studio photographer in Valetta, Malta (also he was a Scenic photographer). Is it likely that he was already taking portraits in Valetta by c1878. I have a digital image of a likely family member photographed by Cassar?  ???
