Thanks for that newbe.... Halstead is quite an unusual name or is it...

Just to let you know reference Eva Doris who married a McPhail I looked up the surname in the Dunedin white pages and came up with two who live in Mosgiel (I have some friends there) and contact will be made to see if they are rellies... Will let you know what I find out.

Let me know if you want a copy of the probate as I can do that for you and hopefully get a copy of the death notice as well. I have some others to do at Christchurch Archives so it is no problem. I use my camera to take photos so no cost involved

Newbe that would be fab...
Any leads are great cos they might have information that can send me off on another chase...
777 has been doing some work in the background as well and I am going to chase that one too.
We have found relatives hopefully of another member of the crew.  If we do then maybe they will have some form of contact...

Dear DeeBoneham,

Did the Stichting Missing Airmans Foundation find any of my living family?
Francis is my Dad's Uncle.

Am not sure if I did that probate or not. If not it will have to wait till our Christchurch Archives is open again.  Not sure at this time when it will be.

Dear writer,
I know this is a very old post.  It came up in a search I was doing.  You probably have solved it. Ow but if you need any extra information I can help.  Frances Maxwell McKenzie was my Uncle Max.  My father, his brother was Albert James McKenzie who died in 1959.  The other family that other readers have found are older half brothers and sisters.  They share the same father but different mothers.  UNcle Max and Dads mother was Alice Maud Saunders.  She died in 1958.
Cheers Kate
