Swedish Censuses?
« on: Tuesday 07 December 10 11:12 GMT (UK) »
Just noticed a thread about Norwegian Censuses, and it made me curious; - Does anyone know whether/when Sweden had Censuses?  Or, what information they may have been collecting, ... and whether they're available anywhere?
I live in Sydney, Australia, and I'm researching: Powell, Tatham, Dunbar, Dixon, Mackwood, Kinnear, Mitchell, Morgan, Delves, & Anderson

Yes, Sweden has had censuses.

See the following links:

http://www.foark.umu.se/census/about.htm (provides information and extracts from 1890 Census)
http://www.svar.ra.se/ (subscription site with 1870-1900 Censuses)

The 1890 and 1900 Censuses are available on CD (in English):
