Andersons of Bathgate
« on: Thursday 06 January 11 07:32 GMT (UK) »
Hello All ,

i have asked this before with no luck so thought I would try again.

Looking for any information on the following.

Alexander ANDERSON b 1809 was a Plasterer.married Helen RAMSAY b 1807 she died 1868

Margaret b 1833

Jane b 1834

Thomas b 1836

James b 1838

Mary b 1840

John b 1842

Helen b 1846

Alexander b 1850

Andrew b 1852

Andrew I know about as he is my Great Grandfather. I would dearly like to find info on the rest of the family. I have searched on Scotlands people to no avail  and several Hundred Dollars later no further ahead.
Any help at all would be much appreciated.

Hi Margaret

This link potentially shows son James marrying in Victoria Australia in 1871. Not much more info on this unfortunately.

Hi Monica,

Thank you so much that is the first real break thru that I have had on the family.

Very much appreciated.

The family were not done in the 1861 Census so have no record since 1851.

Margaret.

Hi Margaret,
It is an ongoing project so you are right to keep going back.
They have changed the website format for the worse in my opinion.
You use to type in both parents names and up popped all the children but i can,t get my head round the new format,
cheers,
Billy.

Margaret, not a lot we can do about the changes with the LDS databases but regarding Ancestry, you can choose to have either the new search or old search screen (I haven't moved away from the old search format).

Monica,
I tried to use the new version of Ancestry but it frustrates me every time
