                       Occupation= Farm servant.

George Archibald Dawson  No 40528, Pte Seaforths born at Kirdels Knockando 28th April 1900.joined at Archiestown,Dec 1912 served in France reported missing 11th April 1917 now presumed killed in France. Son of Robert Dawson 4 Fife street Dufftown and Charlotte Kelby or Dawson.

Double checked the entry for George everything is correct but dates seem wrong as this would make him only 12 when he joined if you solve this riddle i would be interested to know the answer.

Hi Lovey
Curiousity got the better of me looked at CWGC site found George buried in the commonwealth graves buried at Arras Memorial cemetery France he died 11th April 1917 aged 19 that makes him born 1898.
William is buried at Le Touret Memorial. also found that he was christened in 1896. hope this helps
Loks like the roll of honour got dates wrong for George.

Hi nwr

Hope you don't mind me just pointing out that the Dawsons are not buried at the sites you mentioned.  Both have no known graves and so are commemorated by name on panels at the memorials.
