Hi All, I am looking for details for a Jeremiah McCarthy - solicitor, accidental drowning  (tribute 25/8/1894), (inquest report 1/9/1894), (funeral report 4/9/1894 ). I cannot seem to find any details of these reports online. Can anyone help please.

If you write to Waterford City Library , Lady Lane , Waterford City Ireland, they will search their newspaper index (1884- 1948 card index) they may be able to find some information.

If you are still interested in this man
He was living in Limerick and died there

The details that you requested can be found at this link
Page down to McCarthy, Jeremiah (254 Kb) approx two thirds of page

Jeremiah McCarthy, son of Denis McCarthy, Grocer
married in St. Michael’s RC Church, Limerick on Feb 17 1890
Agnes O’Donnell daughter of William O’Donnell, Baker, then deceased.

They had two children Eugene Aloysius in 1891 and Clare Mary in 1892

Jeremiah is listed on Guy’s Directoy of Munster in 1893
at Glentworth Street, Limerick and Dame Street, Dublin as a solicitor
and under Aldermen & Councillors in Slater’s Royal National Directory of Ireland in 1894.

His civil death record is Rathkeale Jul-Sep 1894 Volume 5 Page 313 aged 30;
although reports state he was 29.

Family on 1901 Census
This is possibly Clare in 1911 I cannot see an obvious record for Eugene in Ireland.
