Hi Rob,

This is from the 1841 and 1851 censuses.  I replied to this before, I still have the details on my pad. Did you delete it in error or did you only want Delanoy's? Sorry I have not found any mention of any  Delanoy's yet.

Kind Regards,

Frances :)

Hi Rob,

The only Delanoy I can find n the BVRI is in Liverpool so thats not much good. On the (incomplete) Cambridge Baptism index there is only one Thomas  De'lannoy 1823 in Sawston. :(

Happy Hunting,

Frances

Hi Frances, Thank you for census info, I appreciate your help.   I am confused re DELANOY family in Thorney.   They were in Thorney 1600 's and 1700's and I found a birth (IGI)  for Rebecca Delanoy 1801(I think, I do not have the records on me). but the Rebecca that married William Hare was born c 1795 according to the census info.and death IGI..27-11-1873 ..78 yrs.   The Delanoys were French, and had their own church at Thorney.   I am not sure if Rebecca born c 1785 is the same as the one 1801.   Delanoys do not appear in the baptism or burial records for Thorney in 1801-1837... they seemed to have moved?   Are there any in the census.
Rebecca was buried at Thorney Abbey, is that a different place than Thorney?
Sorry if I am being a pest..its hard when you live in Aust... to research.
Cheers..Rob
