Mckinney's or Mckenny's of Derryinver, Armagh
« on: Sunday 13 March 11 07:29 GMT (UK) »
Hello all,

I have been speaking with a lovely man near the area of Derryinver and he is trying to help me find my family of McKenny, it is understood that the name changed to Mckinney at some point but not sure when. The line of McKinney's I am researching are all Church of Ireland and no longer live in the area.

Does anyone know of Michael or William Mckenny of this area around the early 1800's, I have found a Michael Mckenny on the Griffiths Valuation who I understand is the father of Mary Mckenny my 3rd great grandmother. I have looked at the census for 1901 and  1911 but with not knowing who Michael belonged to am finding it hard, also with the PRONI closed till end of month and me living in England am not able to search. So thought I would ask here and see if anyone has either of these family members linked to them so I can then understand who I belong to.
