looking for help with a birth

i am looking for joseph cullen born 1881 in armagh.....around the mullavilly, richill, ahorey area.....his father was william and his mother was ellen.......thats really all i have on him...any help would be greatly appreciated......thanks frm heather

             A Joseph Cullen was born on 2 Dec 1879 in Ahorey, to Ellen Cullen. No father is listed.

yes it is the joseph from an earlier thread....i have  a surrounding family for him, but can fit him in to a definate place, as so many first names are repetitive..........but this reply about joseph is a positive as on his death certificate only a mother is listed as well named ellen............ in what direction should i go now to find out more about the ellen ?????thank you everyone

I take it Joseph didn't die in Ireland?
Where did you get William for his father's name? (as in your 1st post here)

in reply...joseph died in coatbridge, scotland in 1960......i was mistaken as to his fathers name......sorry about that..... i dont have his father's name...i am now assuming that his mother was unmarried, as she is the only parent listed on both birth and death.....joseph was married in mullavilly on the 16th july 1901 to a margaret laurison........would the marriage info have any parents names??????if so is there any free way of getting the information ????? thank you for helping.....

Irish marriage certificates only list father's name. In the case of an illegitimate child the boxes for father's name and occupation will probably be left blank although sometimes 'illegitimate' is written in and other times a father's name is made up.
