Which Lucy Jones

My GG Grandparents were William Russell & Jane Jones. They married in Birmingham 1820.

Jane had a younger sister named Lucy who married Thomas Russell in 1836 Handsworth Staffs.

Jane & Lucy's parents were David Jones & Elizabeth Stokes. They lived in Cleobury Mortimer Shropshire.

I have found Lucy in another tree married to Thomas Russell but with parents William & Margaret Jones
b.1812 Cleobury Mortimer.

My Lucy was b.1810 but all the census suggest she was b.1812.

Thomas Russell's father was James Russell b.abt 1780 Rowley Regis Staffs. William Russell (My GG Grandfather) was b. abt 1786 Rowley Regis. As I have never been able to find a birth /baptism record for William I clutched at straws and imagined the James Russell could be his brother and Lucy had met Thomas through her sister Janes connection to William. (hope you are still with me)

I'm trying to decide if I'm following the wrong path with Lucy married to Thomas Russell.

Also if anyone can find a connection between James Russell and William Russell that would be great.

Hi, have checked the parish registers for Cleobury Mortimer and there is no baptism for your Lucy c1810, parents David and Eliz. However in 1812 in Jan (no date) there is a Lucy baptized to the parents William and Margaret.

Janes baptism, 27 Nov. 1795 parents David and Eliz. Jones. Another sibling William, baptized 12 Nov. 1793, parents David and Eliz. Jones.

Your Lucy was probably born somewhere else.

Thanks for your reply Claire.
I have Lucy's baptism at Mawley Hall. What I'm trying to work out is if she married and who to.
Because of her sister Jane marrying William Russell, I assumed it was my Lucy marrying Thomas Russell in 1836.
Now I'm not so sure.
Also because I couldn't find any roots for Wiliam Russell, I had this romantic notion of Lucy meeting Thomas through his Uncle William, seeing as William and Thomas's father James were of the same era and both born in Rowley Regis.
It doesn't do to assume does it.
