Mary Gillies

Looking for info on Mary Gillies. She was born 1840/1841 in Dumfriesshire possibly Hoddam. I believe she was the daughter of John Gillies. She married William Male of Birkenhhead around 1862-3. they were probalby married in Scotland. Any help appreciated.

As you see your Mary would have been born 1850 not 1840. Don't know if you have her birth details at all to check this. You can subscribe to following website to get her birth record.

Hi Snowwhite,
 Thanks very much for your help. I have had a look at the LDS site and I found that Mary was such a common name so it was hard to pick out the right one. I believe that her father is John Gillies as she named one of her sons John Gillies Male. (Male was her married name) So I will continues digging.
