We all remember the wanton carnage caused by the late Cardinal Winning, such as his ordering the demolition of St. John’s in Portugal Street under the FALSE pretext that the roof required too much work. Some builders of the parish quickly put paid to that lie, but it didn’t help. St. John’s was replaced by that wee modernist wigwam, St. Luke’s.

Thanks for that link Sancti my 3x grt grandparents were Married there and the children all baptised there, I knew from The Archdiocese of Glasgow, that it  was no longer around but I did not know what had actually happend to it
