In 1861 I think he is in Drinkhouse Lane, Croston, Lancashire
Henry Taylor Head M 43 Farmer of 95 acres employing 3 labourers Leyland
Ann Wife m 47 Croston
James son 9 Scholar Longton
Elizabeth A daur 6 Scholar Croston
Margery Critchley Servant Unm 18 General Servant Burscough
William Critchley Servant Unm 21 Ploughman Burscough
John Smith Servant 17 Labourer Croston
John Almond Servant 18 Labourer Croston
Henry Wilson Visitor Unm 16 Ag Lab Longton, LancashireRG9; Piece:  3123; Folio:  68; Page:  7

The reason I've listed everybody in the household is that we are unsure who he is visiting, it could be one of the servants, so keep this information on file.

Well Betsy is often an abbreviation of Elizabeth, it would seem likely that in the 1891 census it is the same person.

wondered why the dob didnt add up.... looked again at the margiage details of henry and margaret.... he was born abt 1862.
This doesnt add up with all the above...
Have found another family in 1881i believe could be his ....

RG11/3557/108 p 14 Poulton Straight Mile

George Wilson   44
Elizabeth Wilson   43
Henry Wilson   19
Mary Wilson   16
George H. Wilson   2
John Lewis   21

This means, to be listed as a wheelwright of coppull on the marriage details, he must of moved there.... wasnt born there.

This make sense?

Very sorry, I was under the impression you were looking for a wheelwright not a mason.

He was listed as a wheelwright on the marriage details, but his date of birth on that doesn't add up with George and Betsy's family Henry, so i am assuming the second family i posted could be more accurate. surly they wouldn't have got his age wrong by 10 years??

Perhaps he was a mason in cheshire then moved to coppul and took on the wheelwright occupation and thats why it was listed on the marriage details? This is the only explanation i can come up with??

Taylor.

His birthplace was given as Coppull on both the 1901 census - and possibly also the 1911 census.

The birthplace given by Henry the mason is Aldford Cheshire.

The occupation of Henry the mason's father is a Labourer, whereas I believed you were looking for a wheelwright.
