Im struggling!
« on: Sunday 13 June 04 17:57 BST (UK) »
Looking for FARMER connections in Whychbold/Dodderhill area's.

all I know is the following from Parish Records searched for me by a very kind lady;

George Farmer married Mary Price in 1831 at Dodderhill.
Witnesses: Thomas Darby & Elizabeth Price.

John Farmer b.1832 at Whychbold and baptised at Dodderhill 4th Sept 1832.

There are no more children located in the Dodderhill register's.

A search of St. Peter's and St Andrew's of Droitwich did not turn anything up either.

No search made of the 1841 Census.

The family are not on the 1851 Census living in the Worcestershire area.

John Farmer married in 1853 to Elizabeth Mercer at Farnworth, Widnes (Prescot District)
George Farmer is listed on their wedding certificate (not showing as deceased).

Easily find John and Elizabeth on census records but nothing at all for his parents George and Mary Farmer.

I have a feeling that George may have had a connection to the Railway and maybe moved with the construction of the line.

Can anyone give me any pointers's to look for George and Mary Famer.

Stretchie.

This could be  red herring but think it is at least interesting....

Eliza Bunn,dau,14,Bromsgrove,Worc
Thomas Bunn,son,12,labourer,Bromsgrove,Wor
Sarah Ann Bunn,dau,5,Dodderhill,Wor

And there is a Thomas Bunn, aged 41 in the 1881 census, living Widnes, born Broadgrane,Worcester

Nothing else sensible to add so I'm off to watch the mathch!!! Good luck.

Hi everyone - Update on the Farmer/Bunn story.

Thanks for the tip of the Bunn family connection, it was the right one.

Mary Farmer married Thomas Bunn 1834, so it looks like George Farmer didnt last very long.

Mary and Thomas Bunn had the following children:
Charlotte b. 1835 Upton Warren
Eliza b.1836 Upton Warren
Thomas b. 1839 Broadgreen
Sarah b. 1841 - d.1845
Sarah Ann b.1847

Thomas DID go to Widnes with his half brother John Farmer sometime in 1851.

Thanks everyone - couldnt have done it without you.

Where could George be buried?

So glad it turned out to be right, I've sometimes wondered.
The following offer a fiche of MI for Dodderhill, perhaps George was buried there?

ANOTHER FARMER / BUNN REVELATION

Thomas Bunn married Mary Farmer (Widow) at St Martins, Birmingham on the 10th April 1834.

Ive also found a death listed for a George Farmer buried at St Martins, Birmingham 22nd Dec 1833.

Looks good - could it be my search is over?

Can anyone give me any pointers here?
