Nottingham Union Workhouse registers
« on: Sunday 12 June 11 21:28 BST (UK) »
As I understand from their website, the Nottingham Archives hold (on microfiche) admission/discharge registers and registers of death for St. Mary's Workhouse in Nottingham for the period I am looking for. I probably won't be getting the the UK until next year and, having exhausted all other possibilities, wonder if anyone might be able to do a quick check of the registers for me.

I am interested in Frances Johnson, who was admitted to the workhouse by 1881, and I believe she died there in 1883 (age 80). I'm hoping the workhouse records might shed some light on how she came to be there.

If anyone is able to check these for me I would be eternally grateful. :D

Thanks,
Alexander

Hi FreckNeale,

I can do that for you later this week as I live in Nottingham and go to the archives every week.
