Hi McKeown,

I would contact the cemetery admin. I have gotten quite a bit of info from the ones I have contacted. Some of them have been overly helpful by helping me connect with living rellies. Just a thought,

James Thomas McMenemy (Jimmy)
This could be the son born in 1943

That matches the name (James T) on the 1946 passenger list. I didn't include it in my post since I didn't know whether he was alive or not.

Looking at the names of the surviving brothers, one of them did have a given name which would match the initial for that Niagara Falls listing from Canada 411 that I posted.

Jacquie
Canada: Patterson, Brown, Haidenger/Heidinger, Meyer, Johnston(e), Gorsuch, Kitchin/Kitchen
United States: Patterson, Smith, Brown, Vance, Bower(s), Newberry, Best, Love, Gorsuch
England (Northumberland): Brown, Whitfield, Henderson
Scotland (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Fife, East Lothian): Johnston(e), Bell, Galloway, Campbell, Robertson, Williamson, Thomson, Crawford
Germans from Russia: Haidenger/Heidinger, Meyer, Meach, Lorenz

All,
May I take this opportunity to express my gratitude for your help. The Internet can be a fantastic place if it is used correctly.
I am on my iPhone just now so will reply in full later.

This "shot in the dark" has been fantastic. One negative is that I hoped that my Aunt Susan may still be alive. Sadly I am 20 years too late.

However, onwards I go.

Many thanks to you all.

Morning McKeown,

You may want to contact the Deep River pulic library for information as well: http://www.deepriverlibrary.ca/?file=kop1.php. They may have info on the family (BMDs and other). It appears they have online catalogue search link and a contact page for the librarians. I have found in the past that local histories sometimes contain a wealth of information regarding our ancestors and living relatives. Again, hope this helps.

I have just dropped them an e-mail with a request on it.

Again, to ALL I thank you again. I will now try to find my "second" cousins.

Thanks,

Hi! My name is Jeff Juby and I came across your post. I know its old but I am Susan's grandson. The answer to your questions is Susan was married to James McMenemy. James was sponsored to come to Deep River Ontario Canada by a local farmer and then Susan joined him later. They lived in Deep River until my grandfather passed away, then Susan moved to Niagra falls Ontario until her passing. They are buried in the Deep River cemetery, with three of their children: Paul, Micheal and James. We recently lost my aunt Marie who was cremated. They are survived by my mother Patricia, Bill and Paul. You can google the cemetery records if more info needed.

Hope this helps,
jeff
