John Dougan

Seeking information on John Dougan, born in Co Donegal about 1847.   He married Rose Dolan and eventually moved to Scotland before 1881.   Any information would be much appreciated.

I checked Griffiths Valuation of Ireland - Donegal 1857 and found -

John Dougan, Sallaghagrane, Parish of Conwal
James Dougan, Lisnenan, Parish of Conwal
There were no Dougans in any other Parish although there were Doogans.
